The principal male role of Asak was danced by Petr Gusev, and the principal female roles of the Ice Maiden and the girl Solveig were danced by Olga Mungalova. Russian captions appear on the reverse sides of eleven of the photographs. There is also a photograph of an unidentified man and woman seated in a park in Paris, signed 'Cecil', 1910.
